Through our Academic Mentorship program, your student will work remotely with an actual scholar and researcher from a U.S. university. These mentors – professors, associate professors, lecturers, post-doctoral fellows and Ph.D. candidates who teach courses at their universities – design unique research projects and courses for our students to gain valuable experience.

Having research experience can increase your student's chances of admission to their dream universities by enhancing their resume and application with research experience and showing strong academic pursuit of their interests.

What's included in our Team-Based Academic Mentorship program?

6 Online Seminars with An Academic Mentor

Based on the Academic Mentorship program selected, your student will work remotely with an actual scholar and researcher from a U.S. university.

6 Individual Sessions with A Teaching Assistant

During the program, your student will meet individually with their Teaching Assistant to support their research, writing, editing and project dissemination.

Project Edits & Feedback from A Teaching Assistant

Your student will receive individualized feedback on their project (i.e. research project, publication, portfolio etc.) to achieve a strong final output to showcase.

When: Winter programs begin in January & February 2023 for 10-12 weeks.

Group Size: For Team-Based Programs, students will work in a group of 3-5 students.

This program will help students understand the fundamentals of cancer biology. Students will learn about the basics of cancer initiation, progression, and metastasis. These principles will be taught using a platform of breast cancer.

Adolescent Psychology: From Brain to Behavior

In this program, students will examine the heightened importance of social agents during adolescence. Students will learn about social brain development during the second decade of life and specifically explore the topic of adolescent mental health during the pandemic.

The goal of this program is to understand how politics and political institutions influence public policies and hence, the economy. To do so, students will be introduced to the field of political economy, which studies the determinants of public policy both at the macroeconomic and microeconomic levels. Students will learn general principles that help them understand the politics of public policy in various environments, learn and apply economic models to analyze complex issues and complete their own independent research.
