MEET YOUR HOST

Emily has coached InGenius Prep students for 13 years, and every one of them has gotten into a top school. She holds a BA from Dartmouth, an MA from King's College London, and a PhD from Yale. At Yale, she taught English 120, Reading and Writing the Modern Essay, one of the university's most famous freshman writing seminars, along with creative writing and academic writing courses across the humanities. As a Graduate Coach with InGenius Prep, she works one-on-one with students through every draft, and she does not let an essay go until it is the strongest version a student can write. She knows what intellectual vitality looks like on the page, and she knows how to help a student find their voice.
