Meet Your Hosts:
Carlos Hernández
Carlos R. Hernández is Assistant Professor of History and Latin American Studies at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. He earned his Ph.D. in Latin American and Caribbean History from Yale University and is currently finishing a book on the history of Cancún and the development of beach tourism in Mexico's Yucatán Peninsula. At Wayne, Prof. Hernández regularly teaches courses on Mexican, Latin American, and Caribbean history. He also advises M.A. and Ph.D. students in the graduate program in History.
