Meet Your Host: Krista
Hello, soon-to-be college students! I’m Krista Pickett, and I am a Former Admissions Officer at InGenius Prep. I used to be an admission counselor at Williams College. I studied Psychology and Art History there, and I loved school and campus life so much that I’ve made it my mission to help other students find that ideal fit. I moved from Massachusetts to south Florida, where I worked at a prestigious private school in Fort Lauderdale as a college advisor before switching gears to become a college coach, writing specialist, test prep tutor, and classroom teacher through a local learning center.
I’ve guided hundreds of students to their dream schools. To that end, the most important advice I can offer candidates is more of a pep talk: colleges are looking for reasons to accept you– they WANT you to be enthusiastic about attending their schools! Think of your application as an opportunity to share more about yourself with a new friend who’s eager to get to know you.
In my spare time, I can be found walking, playing with, and otherwise doting on the coolest dog ever, Merlin.
